The Ocean Race Museum

Through an interactive tour, this space offers an immersive experience about more than 50 years of the regatta of the same name, showcasing advances in nautical technology and the human effort behind this epic adventure. With games, scale models, and audiovisual exhibitions, you will experience firsthand the harshness and emotion of the legendary The Ocean Race competition.

Additionally, the museum promotes ocean protection, highlighting its commitment to sustainability and environmental care, inspiring visitors to take action in favor of the seas while navigating the fascinating world of sailing.

This international regatta carries out important work in the fight for the health of our oceans and is a platform that inspires numerous actions to protect the marine environment.

Since 2008, Alicante has been The Ocean Race's Port of Departure, and it will be again for the next edition, scheduled for 2026-27.

 
IMMERSIVE AND GUIDED EXPERIENCE AT THE OCEAN RACE MUSEUM

The Ocean Race Museum offers two exciting ways to explore the competition:

IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE

The immersive experience is a new way to live the regatta from within, including The Ride racing simulator and the NEW Virtual Reality of 11th Hour Racing Team. It allows you to experience sailing at over 30 knots and board the Malama, the first Imoca 60 specially designed to compete in The Ocean Race and winner of the 2023 regatta.

GUIDED EXPERIENCE

To discover, guided by specialized guides, the history, secrets, and anecdotes of the regatta. It includes a tour of the permanent and temporary exhibitions, and a visit aboard Brasil 1, a Volvo 70 vessel that participated in the 2005-06 edition.

GUIDED + IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
