APHA is the representative organization for the hotel and tourist accommodation sector in the province of Alicante. It promotes Alicante destinations and advocates for a model of sustainable, high-quality tourism. The Provincial Association of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation of Alicante was founded in May 1977 with the aim of collectively representing and defending the interests of our tourism industry before the various administrations, highlighting the importance of promoting and continuously improving all destinations in the province. Currently, APHA is made up of small, medium, and large companies. It has 120 member establishments from 25 different municipalities, representing more than 13,700 hotel beds and 6,100 rooms in guesthouses, hostels, tourist apartments, and hotels up to 5 stars. The combination of all its members gives it significant representation capacity for dialogue with administrations and other public and private bodies to address various issues related to our sector, such as promotion, coordination of major events, regulations, municipal ordinances, or any other issue that may require its intervention to defend the interests of its members and the destination where they are located. The governing bodies that make up the association are the General Assembly and the Board of Directors.
